Imobilização de ferro (II) em matriz de alginato e sua utilização na degradação de corantes têxteis por processos Fenton Immobilization of iron (II) in alginate matrix and its use in textile dye degradation by Fenton processes

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2008
In this work Fenton and photo-Fenton processes for textile dye degradation were investigated using iron (II) immobilized in alginate spheres. Photomicrographs obtained by scanning electron microscopy showed an irregular and porous surface with a ...

Degradation of paracetamol by catalytic wet air oxidation and sequential adsorption - Catalytic wet air oxidation on activated carbons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The concern about the fate of pharmaceutical products has raised owing to the increasing contamination of rivers, lakes and groundwater. The aim of this paper is to evaluate two different processes for paracetamol removal. The catalytic wet air oxidation

Efficient degradation of methyl orange through photo-Fenton processes with MIL-100(Fe) modified Fe\(_3\)O\(_4\) (Fe\(_3\)O\(_4\)@MIL-100(Fe)) catalyst

open access: yesCommunications in Science and Technology
The research successfully synthesized a composite MIL-100(Fe) modified Fe3O4 (Fe3O4@MIL-100(Fe)) catalyst and examined its efficiency in degrading methyl orange (MO) through the photo-Fenton process compared to Fenton.

Comparison of hydroxyl radical formation in aqueous solutions at different ultrasound frequencies and powers using the salicylic acid dosimeter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Ultrasonic frequencies of 20 kHz, 382 kHz, 584 kHz, 862 kHz (and 998 kHz) have been compared with regard to energy output and hydroxyl radical formation utilising the salicylic acid dosimeter. The 862 kHz frequency inputs 6 times the number of Watts into

Biodegradability of chlorophenol wastewater enhanced by solar photo-Fenton process

open access: yesWater Science and Technology, 2009
The combination of solar irradiation and Fenton reagent have been used to enhance the biodegradability (BOD5/COD) of chlorophenol wastewater, including 2-chlorophenol (2-CP), 4-chlorophenol (4-CP), and 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP). Results showed that the solar photo-Fenton process improved significantly the biodegradability of chlorophenol wastewater.
