Merging materials processing tricks inspired by mussel and mistletoe fiber fabrication, solutions of cationic mussel byssus proteins were mixed with modified anionic nanocrystalline cellulose, producing distinctive core‐shell condensates. Simple processing of condensate suspensions using freeze‐drying produced hierarchically structured porous protein ...

Controlled reduction of photobleaching in DNA origami-gold nanoparticle hybrids.
The amount of information obtainable from a fluorescence-based measurement is limited by photobleaching: Irreversible photochemical reactions either render the molecules nonfluorescent or shift their absorption and/or emission spectra outside the working

Photobleaching-Insensitive Fluorescence Diagnostics in Skin and Brain Tissue
In this paper, we investigate the possibility of using accurate prediction models for the prediction of protoporphyrin bleaching dynamics to achieve photobleaching-insensitive methods to improve the evaluation of data in an existing clinical fluorescence-

Photobleaching Kinetics and Time-Integrated Emission of Fluorescent Probes in Cellular Membranes
Since the pioneering work of Hirschfeld, it is known that time-integrated emission (TiEm) of a fluorophore is independent of fluorescence quantum yield and illumination intensity.

Here, we present a nanotechnology approach to construct synthetic lipid rafts on the live T cell membrane, leveraging a versatile DNA origami‐enabled platform named as the “cholesterol nano‐patch” (CNP). Our investigation highlights the effectiveness of DNA nanotechnology in exploring the impact of nanoscale arrangement of cholesterols on the ...
