Integrated Photodiodes in Standard CMOS Technology for CD and DVD Applications [PDF]
The influence of two different geometries (layouts) and two structures of high-speed photodiodes in fully standard 0.18 /spl mu/m CMOS technology on their intrinsic (physical) and electrical bandwidths is analyzed.

Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Overview of ionizing radiation effects in image sensors fabricated in a deep-submicrometer CMOS imaging technology [PDF]
An overview of ionizing radiation effects in imagers manufactured in a 0.18-μm CMOS image sensor technology is presented. Fourteen types of image sensors are characterized and irradiated by a 60Co source up to 5 kGy.

The Effect of Purcell Cavities on the Lifetime of Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescent Emitters
A pressing challenge to OLED displays and lighting is to balance high efficiency and long operational lifetime in the deep blue spectrum. The Purcell effect can reduce the triplet density and hence the probability for destructive energy‐driven triplet annihilation events that limit the OLED lifetime. Here we study of the Purcell effect on two different

Broadband, Flexible, Skin‐Compatible Carbon Dots/Graphene Photodetectors for Wearable Applications
Broadband, flexible photodetectors integrating nitrogen‐rich carbon dots with single‐layer graphene on plastic substrates are demonstrated. A biocompatible chitosan–glycerol electrolyte enables efficient low‐voltage gating and on‐skin operation. The devices exhibit ultraviolet‐to‐near‐infrared response, mechanical robustness under bending, and verified

This study presents a new hole transporting material (HTM) mechanism for self‐assembled monolayers in near‐infrared organic photodetectors. The formation of zwitterions induces a strong electric field that significantly increases the work function of HTM‐coated indium tin oxide substrates. The devices exhibit low dark current and noise, along with high

Analysis of the high-speed polysilicon photodetector in fully standard CMOS technology [PDF]
A high-performance lateral polysilicon photodiode was designed in standard 0.18 um CMOS technology. The device has a frequency bandwidth far in the GHz range: the measured bandwidth of the poly photodiode was 6 GHz, which gure was limited by the ...

A quick-retrieval high-speed digital framing camera [PDF]
A new high-speed digital framing camera is described. The design is built around a rotating polygon mirror that provides a framing rate of 24 000 frames/s. The camera electronics digitizes an image into a 32×104 grid of pixels, where the second dimension
