Dermoscopy and methyl aminolevulinate: A study for detection and evaluation of field cancerization [PDF]
Actinic keratosis (AK) is a keratinocyte intraepidermal neoplasia UV light – induced that frequently appears in sun-exposed areas of the skin. Although historically AK was de fi ned as “ precancerous ” , actually it is considered as the ...

Metallofullerenol Sc3N@C80(OH)18 demonstrates strong radioprotective properties as a scavenger of both short‐ and long‐lived radicals. The study reveals protection of human erythrocytes from γ‐radiation–induced biochemical damage via post‐irradiation removal of primary and secondary reactive oxidants, supported by pulse radiolysis kinetics.

Case report: optical biopsy in HPV6 lesion [PDF]
The optical biopsy is a noninvasive diagnostic procedure that performs an analysis of the tissue with an optical system that allows reaching a result without extracting the sample (excisional biopsy) from the body tissue.

PHOTOCHEMISTRY OF PHYCOBILIPROTEINS [PDF]
Native PEC from the cyanobacterium, Mastigocladus laminosus, and its isolated α-subunit show photoreversibly photochromic reactions with difference-maxima around 502 and 570 nm in the spectral region of the α-84 phycoviolobilin chromophore.

Photodynamic therapy against cyanobacteria [PDF]
AbstractThis study explores the use of photosensitizers and reactive oxygen species (ROS) to limit growth of cyanobacteria. We chose 12 phthalocyanines, tetraphenol porphyrine, and methylene blue as compounds producing singlet oxygen. Hydrogen peroxide was chosen as another source of ROS.

Photosensitizing lipid nanoparticles (PLNPs) are engineered by incorporating cholesterol–PEG–pheophorbide a into MC3‐based LNPs and encapsulating GPX4‐targeting siRNA. Upon light activation, PLNPs generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) while silencing GPX4 to induce ferroptosis.

Sublethal Photodynamic Treatment Does Not Lead to Development of Resistance
A promising new alternative approach for eradication of antibiotic-resistant strains is to expose microbes to photosensitizers, which upon illumination generate reactive oxygen species.

This study develops a dual‐bioinspired hydrogel, MSA@PGel (macrophage membrane‐coated and salvianolic acid B/5‐aminolevulinic acid co‐loaded liposomes embedded in a polydopamine‐based gel), that integrates macrophage membrane‐mediated active targeting and mussel‐inspired wet adhesion for programmed intervention in oral precancerous lesions.
