Fast‐Responding O2 Gas Sensor Based on Luminescent Europium Metal‐Organic Frameworks (MOF‐76)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Luminescent MOF‐76 materials based on Eu(III) and mixed Eu(III)/Y(III) show rapid and reversible changes in emission intensity in response to O2 with very short response times. The effect is based on triplet quenching of the linker ligands that act as photosensitizers. Average emission lifetimes of a few milliseconds turn out to be mostly unaffected by

Predictions for the Isolated Prompt Photon Production at the LHC at s = 13 TeV

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2017
The prompt photon production in hadronic collisions has a long history of providing information on the substructure of hadrons and testing the perturbative techniques of QCD. Some valuable information about the parton densities in the nucleon and nuclei,

Shaping the quantum vacuum with anisotropic temporal boundaries

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2022
Temporal metamaterials empower novel forms of wave manipulation with direct applications to quantum state transformations. In this work, we investigate vacuum amplification effects in anisotropic temporal boundaries. Our results theoretically demonstrate

Charm Photoproduction At Large Transverse Momentum And The Charm Content Of The Photon [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The charm quark photoproduction at large transverse momentum in the resolved photon interaction via partonic subprocess $\cg$ is studied. It is shown that at HERA energies the contribution of the charm quark excitation in the photon in the inclusive ...

Band Alignment in In‐Oxo Metal Porphyrin SURMOF Heterojunctions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Porphyrin core metalation in indium‑oxo SURMOFs enables systematic tuning of band edge positions without altering the crystal structure. First‑principles calculations reveal type‑I and type‑II heterostructures as well as multi‑junction energy cascades, establishing a modular strategy for exciton funneling and charge separation in optoelectronic ...

Pre-equilibrium photons from the early stages of heavy-ion collisions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We use QCD kinetic theory to compute photon production in the chemically equilibrating Quark-Gluon Plasma created in the early stages of high-energy heavy-ion collisions.

Photon production in top quark events at ATLAS and CMS

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings
Top quark production in association with a photon offers a unique test ground for the standard model predictions, as it is sensitive to the top-photon coupling.

Isolated photon production and pion-photon correlations in high-energy $pp$ and $pA$ collisions

open access: yes, 2020
A phenomenological study of the isolated photon production in high energy $pp$ and $pA$ collisions at RHIC and LHC energies is performed. Using the color dipole approach we investigate the production cross section differential in the transverse momentum ...

Backbone Heterojunction Photocatalysts for Efficient Sacrificial Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, a ‘single‐component’ organic semiconductor photocatalyst is presented in which a molecular donor is bonded to a polymer acceptor. The resultant material demonstrates exceptional photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution in aqueous triethylamine with an outstanding external quantum efficiency of 38% at 420 nm.
