We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Photon versus Proton Therapy in the Management of Head and Neck Cancer: A Systematic Review
Introduction: Head and Neck Cancers (HNC), particularly Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC), are major causes of cancer morbidity and mortality. Radiation therapy, commonly using photons, can damage surrounding healthy tissues.

The nanostructure, size, and function of mRNA‐loaded lipid nanoparticles are evaluated before drying, within polymer microneedles, and after rehydration. The results reveal the polymer and LNP loadings required to recover nanostructure and preserve the delivery performance in dry‐state formulations.

Cost-comparativeness of proton versus photon therapy
Proton beam radiotherapy (PBT) offers great promise in the treatment of a wide variety of cancers owing to the sharp drop-off in radiation dose at a defined point, known as the Bragg peak, beyond which there is no appreciable dose. However, it is also well-understood that PBT is associated with large economic costs, including both capital investment ...

Cost-Effectiveness of Proton Therapy Compared to Photon Therapy in the Management of Pediatric Medulloblastoma [PDF]
BACKGROUNDProton therapy has been a hotly contested issue in both scientific publications and lay media. Proponents cite the modality's ability to spare healthy tissue, but critics claim the benefit gained from its use does not validate its cost compared with photon therapy.

Electrostatically‐Stabilized PEG‐Free Lipid Nanoparticles for Systemic Nucleic Acid Delivery
This work describes non‐PEGylated layered lipid nanoparticles (nonPEG LLNPs), a gene delivery platform that improves upon standard PEGylated LNPs via electrostatic adsorption of charged polymers. nonPEG LLNPs maintain colloidal stability under biological stresses, enhance circulation time, and mitigate accelerated blood clearance and hepatic ...

Morbidity dynamics in proton–photon or photon radiation therapy for locally advanced prostate cancer [PDF]
This study evaluated the frequency and long-term dynamics of early and late post irradiation damage after proton-photon or photon therapy for locally advanced prostate cancer. The results of a randomized study of proton-photon or photon therapy using several fractionation regimes were analyzed in 272 patients with high and intermediate risk of ...
