New Perspectives on Semiconducting Conjugated Oligomers for Neuromodulation in Hydra vulgaris
Semiconducting organic compounds, thiophene‐based, modify the rhythmic electrical activity of the cnidarian Hydra vulgaris acting on specific neuronal circuits. The ETE‐S trimer also forms electronically conducting wires in the living tissues of the animal.

Intermingled WS2 and MoS2 nanodiscs on graphene made using alternative coatings of MoS2 and WS2 to achieve optimal morphology and high concentration of the nanodiscs to enable localized surface plasmonic resonance for enhanced light absorption and photodetection. Comparing the three samples, the highest photoresponsivity is obtained on WMW‐NDs/graphene

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) faces clinical challenges due to poor tumor targeting and systemic toxicity. Herein, a biomimetic C3N4‐RP@RBCm nanoplatform is developed via erythrocyte membrane encapsulation, enabling CD47‐mediated immune evasion and EPR‐driven tumor accumulation.

Unexpected results show that the singlet‐oxygen based antifungal activity of porphyrin‐based Metal‐Organic Frameworks is far below expectations while the standalone ligand is more efficient. We attribute these behaviours to inefficient exciton migration and gas diffusion leading to low singlet oxgyen concentrations at and beyond the MOF‐gas interface ...

Background: Photodynamic therapy (PDT) efficacy is determined in part by the concentration of photosensitizer (PS) at the treatment site. The blood-brain barrier (BBB) poses a significant limitation on the transport of PS into the post-operative ...
