Pediatric photosensitivity [PDF]
SummaryPhotosensitivity is a rarely encountered problem in the pediatric population. It may be caused by a diverse group of primary, idiopathic photosensitivity conditions, or may reflect photoexacerbation of an existing dermatosis. In addition, there are several genodermatoses, metabolic disorders, and connective tissue disorders that can present with

Laser technologies in treatment of patients with secondary lymphostasis of lower extremities [PDF]
Photodynamic therapy (PDT), matured as a feasible medical technology in the 1980s at several institutions throughout the world, is a ternary treatment for cancer involving three key components: a photosensitizer, light, and tissue oxygen.

The application of photodynamic therapy in plastic and reconstructive surgery
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a modern clinical treatment paradigm with the advantages of high selectivity, non-invasiveness, rare side-effect, no obvious drug resistance and easy combination with other therapies.

Photosensitivity at 1550 nm and Bragg grating inscription in As2Se3 microwires [PDF]
We report the first experimental observation of photosensitivity in As2Se3 glass at a wavelength of 1550 nm. We utilize this photosensitivity to induce the first Bragg gratings using a laser source at a wavelength of 1550 nm. We quantify the photosensitivity thresholds related to exposition intensity and exposition time.

A Study of the Operation of Especially Designed Photosensitive Gaseous Detectors at Cryogenic Temperatures [PDF]
In some experiments and applications there is need for large-area photosensitive detectors to operate at cryogenic temperatures. Nowadays, vacuum PMs are usually used for this purpose. We have developed special designs of planar photosensitive gaseous detectors able to operate at cryogenic temperatures.

Persistence of Photosensitivity [PDF]
Summary: Purpose: One hundred patients with photosensitive epilepsy were investigated as part of an ongoing follow‐up study. Average duration of follow‐up was 14 years; mean age at follow‐up was 27 years. Methods: All patients were EEG investigated using a standard technique of intermittent photic stimulation (IPS).
