Comparative Transcriptome Analysis of Defense Response of Potato to Phthorimaea operculella Infestation. [PDF]

open access: yesPlants (Basel), 2023
The potato tuber moth (PTM), Phthorimaea operculella Zeller (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae), is one of the most destructive pests of potato crops worldwide. Although it has been reported how potatoes integrate the early responses to various PTM herbivory stimuli by accumulatively adding the components, the broad-scale defense signaling network of potato to ...

Resistência de genótipos de batata a Phthorimaea operculella (Zeller) [PDF]

open access: yesScientia Agricola, 2001
A traça Phthorimaea operculella (Zeller) é considerada atualmente uma das principais pragas da batata. O uso de resistência varietal para controle desse inseto é uma alternativa promissora, mas que ainda precisa ser melhor pesquisada.

Few indirect effects of baculovirus on parasitoids demonstrate high compatibility of biocontrol methods against Tuta absoluta

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 79, Issue 4, Page 1431-1441, April 2023., 2023
Baculoviruses are used for pest control in agroecosystems, where parasitoids are present. We assessed whether parasitoids discriminate against virus‐infected hosts and examined the effect of the virus on parasitoid offspring. We found few indirect effects of the virus on the parasitoids, indicating that both agents can be combined.
