Borderline phyllodes tumor with cystic squamous metaplasia: a case report

open access: yesMGM Journal of Medical Sciences
Phyllodes tumors (PTs) are uncommon fibroepithelial neoplasms of the breast, comprising only 0.3% to 1% of all primary breast tumors. Metaplastic changes are rare, with cystic squamous metaplasia (CSM) being an exceptionally uncommon finding that can ...

B7-H3 and B7-H4 expression in phyllodes tumors of the breast detected by RNA in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry: Association with clinicopathological features and T-cell infiltration

open access: yesTumor Biology, 2018
Phyllodes tumors are rare biphasic breast tumors with the potential for both local recurrence and distant metastasis. The aberrant expression of B7-H3 and B7-H4 B7 molecules could be potential targets for future development of immunotherapeutic ...

Spindle Cell Lesions of the Breast: A 12‐Year Experience

open access: yesANZ Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.
This 12‐year, single‐centre study examined 30 core‐biopsy‐diagnosed breast spindle cell lesions (BrSCL), classified as atypical (ASCL, n = 10) or bland (BSCL, n = 20). Following excision, 80% of ASCLs proved malignant, comprising sarcoma, malignant phyllodes tumour and metaplastic carcinoma.

Malignant phyllodes tumor with heterologous differentiation: Clinicopathological spectrum of nine cases in a tertiary care institute in Eastern India

open access: yesIndian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology, 2017
Phyllodes tumors are uncommon fibroepithelial neoplasms of breast. Heterologous sarcomatous differentiation of malignant phyllodes tumor (MPT) is a rare phenomenon as shown in the literature.

A guide to transcriptional cyclin‐dependent kinases in cancer

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Transcriptional cyclin‐dependent‐kinases (tCDKs) facilitate gene expression by promoting RNA polymerase II (RNAPII) progression through discrete phases of the transcription cycle. Aberrant tCDK activity is detectable in different human cancers, thereby contributing to de‐regulated gene expression programs that drive oncogenic phenotypes.

BORDERLINE PHYLLODES TUMOUR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We report a case of 40 years old women with a painful lump in left breast. Mammography revealed a suspicious mass ACR BIRADS category 4a. Excision biopsy revealed borderline phyllodes tumour.

Massive Benign Phyllodes Tumour of Breast Complicating Pregnancy [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2017
Phyllodes tumour of the breast, earlier called cystosarcomaphyllodes, is a rare fibroepithelial breast neoplasm that occurs in all age groups from adolescents to elderly.

Do alternative classification systems improve prognostication in phyllodes tumours of the breast? A comparative clinicopathological study

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
In this cohort, high stromal mitotic activity and malignant heterologous elements best predicted recurrence in breast phyllodes tumours. The WHO 5th Edition showed the strongest correlation with outcomes. Tan et al. showed near‐complete concordance, while the Refined Criteria overclassified malignancy without a clear prognostic refinement.

Tropical leaf phenology as a thermoregulation trait: how changes in crown structure modulate thermal dynamics for two dominant Hawaiian trees

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Study site and focal species. Summary Canopy and leaf temperatures often diverge from air temperature, influencing photosynthesis, water loss, and heat stress. While leaf traits are known to affect heat exchange, how changes in crown structure interact with environmental drivers to regulate canopy thermal dynamics is poorly understood, particularly in ...

Eight New Species of Amatissa Walker, 1862 (Lepidoptera: Psychidae) With Confirmation of the Genus in Northern Australia

open access: yesAustral Entomology, Volume 65, Issue 4, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Examination and sequencing of Psychidae specimens from Australia confirm that the genus Amatissa Walker, 1862 is present in this region, extending its known distribution. The first multispecies phylogeny of Amatissa is presented based on mitochondrial sequence data.
