An automated machine learning framework integrating environmental and genomic data enhances genetic analysis and genomic prediction in maize. By leveraging dimension‐reduced environmental parameters, it reveals trait‐environment relationships and identifies genetic markers that govern phenotypic plasticity and genotype‐by‐environment interactions.

Comparison of Tree-Child Phylogenetic Networks [PDF]
Phylogenetic networks are a generalization of phylogenetic trees that allow for the representation of non-treelike evolutionary events, like recombination, hybridization, or lateral gene transfer. In this paper, we present and study a new class of phylogenetic networks, called tree-child phylogenetic networks, where every non-extant species has some ...

Phylogenetics is the study of the evolutionary relationships between organisms. One of the main challenges in the field is to take biological data for a group of organisms and to infer an evolutionary tree, a graph that represents these relationships.

PRKCQ‐AS1 is overexpressed due to transcriptional super‐enhancers. PRKCQ‐AS1 RNA forms a complex with MSI2 protein to induce BMX mRNA stabilization and overexpression, ERK protein phosphorylation and neuroblastoma cell proliferation. Compound NSC617570 blocks PRKCQ‐AS1 binding to MSI2, leading to BMX mRNA disassociation from MSI2 protein, BMX reduction,

The complete mitochondrial genome of Dabry’s sturgeon (Acipenser dabryanus)
The complete mitochondrial genome of Dabry’s sturgeon (Acipenser dabryanus) was first determined in this study. The mitochondrial DNA is circular molecule (16,437 bp in length) with a typical vertebrate mitochondrial gene arrangement, including 13 ...

Encoding and Constructing 1-Nested Phylogenetic Networks with Trinets [PDF]
Phylogenetic networks are a generalization of phylogenetic trees that are used in biology to represent reticulate or non-treelike evolution. Recently, several algorithms have been developed which aim to construct phylogenetic networks from biological data using {\em triplets}, i.e.

This study indicates that perinatal antibiotic exposure elevates susceptibility to high‐fat‐diet‐induced hepatic lipid accumulation via disrupting early‐life gut microbiota colonization. The decreased Lactobacillus colonization inhibits primary‐to‐secondary bile acid conversion, lowering secondary bile acids, enhancing adulthood intestinal lipid ...

Rapid character scoring and tabulation of large leaf‐image libraries using Adobe Bridge
Abstract Premise Digital image libraries are an integral part of specimen‐based research. However, coding and extracting metadata for hundreds of specimens on a personal computer can be complex. In addition, most existing workflows require downsampling or platform switching and do not link character data directly to the images.

Next-generation sequencing yields the complete chloroplast genome of Abies Alba
Abies alba is native to the mountains of Europe and often used as Christmas trees. In this study, we reported the complete chloroplast genome of A. alba. The complete chloroplast genome is 121,243 bp in length, comprising a large single copy (LSC) region
