The persistence of the human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16) infection on the cervical epithelium contributes to the progression of cervical cancer. Studies have demonstrated that HPV16 genetic variants may be associated with different risks of developing

What are the Laetiporus species present in southern South America?
The identity and phylogenetic relationships of Laetiporaceae taxa (Polyporales, Basidiomycota) remain poorly studied. In this work we carry out a multigene phylogenetic analysis to identify the Laetiporus species that grow in South America and move ...

This study shows that BLADE‐ON‐PETIOLE (BOP) proteins regulate floral abscission and senescence in tomato by interacting with TFAM1 to form transcriptional condensates controlling the ARABIDOPSIS THALIANA HOMEOBOX GENE 1 (ATH1)‐mediated abscission pathway.

This study performs pan‐viromic profiling of 14,529 samples from 5,710 domestic herbivores across five Chinese provinces, establishing the DhCN‐Virome (1,085,360 viral metagenomes). It reveals species/sample‐specific viromic signatures and cross‐species transmission dynamics, aiding unified disease control.

Neuropeptide Evolution and the Analysis of Phylogenetic Relationships in Blattaria (Hexapoda)
Mass spectrometric methods were used for the fi rst time to reveal the sequences of peptide orthologs from a large number of insects species, focussing on cockroaches. Sequence data of CAPA peptides (three periviscerokinins, pyrokinin) were obtained from single specimens, which led to the reconstruction of phylogenetic trees.

ABSTRACT Periodontitis, a chronic inflammatory disease initiated and sustained by plaque microorganisms and host immune response, remains an intractable oral disease and a leading cause of tooth loss worldwide. Traditional mechanical debridement and adjunctive antibiotic or antiseptic therapy often shows limited efficacy due to the complex anatomical ...
