Cavitation is the determining mechanism for the atomization of high-viscosity liquid
Summary: Piezoelectric atomization is becoming mainstream in the field of inhalation therapy due to its significant advantages. With the rapid development of high-viscosity gene therapy drugs, the demand for piezoelectric atomization devices is ...

Modeling the Enceladus plume--plasma interaction
We investigate the chemical interaction between Saturn's corotating plasma and Enceladus' volcanic plumes. We evolve plasma as it passes through a prescribed H2O plume using a physical chemistry model adapted for water-group reactions.

14‐day casting‐induced immobilization reduced gastrocnemius muscle mass and increased non‐heme iron and ferritin heavy chain levels. Despite iron accumulation, transferrin receptor 1 and iron regulatory protein 2 were paradoxically upregulated. Lipid peroxidation was elevated without compensatory antioxidant responses.

The cupric complexes of glycine and of alanine [PDF]
The following report is the first of a projected series of studies of the physical chemistry of the compounds of the heavy metals, particularly of copper and of iron, with substances of biological importance. These studies are invited by the accumulation

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

Tracing the Physical Conditions in Active Galactic Nuclei with Time-Dependent Chemistry
We present an extension of the code ProDiMo that allows for a modeling of processes pertinent to active galactic nuclei and to an ambient chemistry that is time dependent. We present a proof-of-concept and focus on a few astrophysically relevant species,

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Tailoring the Electron Affinity of Au13 Superhalogen via Ligand Design
The thiolate (RS)‐protected neutral gold cluster Au25(SR)180, which has an icosahedral Au13 core, is regarded as a superhalogen due to its comparably high electron affinity (EA) to those of halogen atoms.
