Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

On PI-control in Capacity-Limited Networks
This paper concerns control of a class of systems where multiple dynamically stable agents share a nonlinear and bounded control-interconnection. The agents are subject to a disturbance which is too large to reject with the available control action, making it impossible to stabilize all agents in their desired states.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Research on compound current control strategy based on LCL type active power filter
In view of contradiction between high steady state accuracy and fast dynamic response of traditional current control strategy, a novel compound current control strategy based on LCL type active power filter was proposed.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Low current stability of bipolar magnet power supply in switching mode
BackgroundBipolar magnet power supplies using switching techniques are commonly used to provide stable excitation current for correction magnet coils. Specification of the Shenzhen Superconductive Soft-X-ray Free Electron Laser (S3FEL) project requires ...

Brushless DC Motor Control System for Active Myoelectric Prostheses
A prosthesis is an artificial substitute for a missing part of the body that makes it possible to recover some degree of function of the lost limb. Prosthetics are classified as passive and active.
