Highly active and selective supported rhenium catalysts for aerobic oxidation of n-Hexane and n-Heptane [PDF]
A series of derivative C-scorpionate rhenium complexes, i.e., [ReCl2{NNC(O)C6H5} (Hpz)(PPh3)2] (A) (where Hpz is pyrazole), [ReCl2{NNC(O)C6H5}(Hpz)2(PPh3)] (B), [ReClF {NNC(O)C6H5}(Hpz)2(PPh3)] (C), and their precursor [ReOCl3(PPh3)2] (D), immobilized on

The serine capsid protease (CP) catalyzes a crucial process of the alphaviral replication cycle; therefore, it constitutes an interesting therapy target. Herein, the O'nyong‐nyong virus CP profile activity with a specific fluorogenic substrate is analyzed and examines the inhibitory activity of a new series of phosphonic analogs of tryptophan and ...

Fungal pathogens produce toxins that are important for their pathogenesis and/or aggressiveness towards their hosts. Picolinic acid (PA), a non-host selective toxin, causes lesions on rice leaves resembling those originated from Pyricularia oryzae ...

Acid zeta function and ajoint acid zeta function [PDF]
In this paper we set up the theory of acid zeta function and ajoint acid zeta function, based on the theory, we point out a reason to doubt the truth of the Riemann hypothesis and also as a consequence, we give out some new RH equivalences.

Characterization of inhibitory effects of the potential therapeutic inhibitors, benzoic acid and pyridine derivatives, on the monophenolase and diphenolase activities of tyrosinase [PDF]
Objective(s):Involvement of tyrosinase in the synthesis of melanin and cell signaling pathway has made it an attractive target in the search for therapeutic inhibitors for treatment of different skin hyperpigmentation disorders and melanoma cancers ...

Chytridiomycosis of marine diatoms : the role of stress physiology and resistance in parasite-host recognition and accumulation of defense molecules [PDF]
Little is known about the role of chemotaxis in the location and attachment of chytrid zoospores to potential diatom hosts. Hypothesizing that environmental stress parameters affect parasite-host recognition, four chytrid-diatom tandem cultures ...

The nature of the central spacer and the topology of the chelator plays a crucial role in the stability of [90Y]Y3+ and [177Lu]Lu3+ OCTAPA derivatives relevant for radiopharmaceutical applications. We present a detailed investigation on the coordination chemistry of [nat/90Y]Y3+ and [nat/177Lu]Lu3+ with the new acyclic chelator H4CHXOITAPA.

Is Amino-Acid Homochirality Due To Asymmetric Photolysis In Space? [PDF]
Amino acids occurring in proteins are, with rare exceptions, exclusively of the L-configuration. Among the many scenarios put forward to explain the origin of this chiral homogeneity (i.e., homochirality), one involves the asymmetric photolysis of amino acids present in space, triggered by circularly polarized UV radiation.

Carbon Doping of MgB2 by Toluene and Malic-Acid-in-Toluene [PDF]
The decomposition of malic acid in the presence of Mg and B was studied using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) which revealed that malic acid reacted with Mg but not B. Also, the addition of toluene to dissolve malic acid followed by subsequent drying resulted in no reaction with Mg, indicating that the malic

Fluorescent Carbazole‐Derived Aza[5]Helicenes: Synthesis, Functionalization, and Characterization
Variously substituted indolophenanthridines, indolocarbazoles, and cinnolinocarbazoles synthesized by ortho fusion from teraryl precursors show significant Stokes shifts, especially for the protonated states of indolophenanthridines and cinnolinocarbazole.
