Preparation and diagnosis of new picolinic acid derivatives

open access: yesTikrit Journal of Pure Science, 2023
In this study, a new series of heterocyclic rings derived from picolinic acid was prepared. The quaternary reaction of acid hydrazone with chloroacetyl chloride was intended to obtain the azitidine-2-on ring known as beta-lactam and the preparation of ...

M. tuberculosis induces potent activation of IDO-1, but this is not essential for the immunological control of infection. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenesae-1 (IDO-1) catalyses the initial, rate-limiting step in tryptophan metabolism, thereby regulating tryptophan availability and the formation of downstream metabolites, including picolinic and quinolinic acid.

Suppression of Dissolution Rate via Coordination Complex in Tungsten Chemical Mechanical Planarization

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Topography of tungsten should be assured at a minimum through chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) in the metal gate structures (e.g., buried gates, replacement metal gates) and via contact in the middle of line (MOL) process for sub−7 nm ...

Gestational kynurenine metabolites mediate effects of pregnancy adiposity on child negative affect. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Child Psychol Psychiatry
Background Mounting evidence links increased adiposity during pregnancy and offspring risk for mental health disorders. Yet the mechanisms underlying this association remain poorly understood, limiting our ability to design effective interventions.

RELAXATION OF ISOLATED AORTA OF THE RABBIT BY PICOLINIC ACIDS [PDF]

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, 1977
When the isolated thoracic aorta of the rabbit was contracted with prostaglandin F2α, 5‐alkylpicolinic acids produced dose‐dependent relaxations. Picolinic acid, 2,5‐pyridinedicarboxylic acid and 5‐acetylpicolinic acid which do not have the 5‐alkyl residue failed to relax blood vessels.

6-Phosphoryl Picolinic Acids as Europium and Terbium Sensitizers

open access: yesInorganic Chemistry, 2011
Three 6-phosphoryl picolinic acid (6PPA) derivatives were synthesized and used as europium and terbium sensitizers. Two of the three ligands (6-diethoxyphosphoryl picolinic acid (Hdeppa) and 6-monoethoxyphosphoryl picofinic acid (H(2)meppa)) are water ...

A novel derivative of picolinic acid induces endoplasmic reticulum stress-mediated apoptosis in human non-small cell lung cancer cells: synthesis, docking study, and anticancer activity [PDF]

open access: yesPharmacia, 2021
Thirteen new derivatives of picolinic acid (4–7) were designed and synthesized from the starting parent molecule, picolinic acid. The new compounds were characterized by ATR-FTIR, 1HNMR, and CHNS analysis.

In vitro activity of 2-pyridinecarboxylic acid against trypanosomes of the subgenus Schizotrypanum isolated from the bat Phyllostomus hastatus - doi: 10.4025/actascibiolsci.v33i4.6482

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Biological Sciences, 2011
The effect of 2-pyridinecarboxylic acid (picolinic acid) on trypanosomes of the subgenus Schizotrypanum isolated from the bat Phyllostomus hastatus was determined in this study. Picolinic acid, at 50 µg mL-1, inhibited epimastigote growth by 99% after 12
