Networked PID control [PDF]

open access: yes2006 IEEE Conference on Computer Aided Control System Design, 2006 IEEE International Conference on Control Applications, 2006 IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control, 2006
PID controllers are the most widely used control scheme in industry. Traditionally these controllers have been implemented in analog or digital form on specifically dedicated communication links. However, there has been significant recent interest into deploying control over general purpose communication channels, which allow one to transmit data ...

Mixed‐Metal Promotion in a Manganese‐Molybdenum Oxynitride as Catalyst to Integrate C─C and C─N Coupling Reactions for the Direct Synthesis of Acetonitrile from Syngas and Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Thermally Modulated Metasurface Sensor for Dynamic and Time‐Resolved Isolation of Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A thermally adaptive plasmonic metasurface, functionalized with poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) and anti‐CD63 antibodies, enables precise, on‐demand capture and release of extracellular vesicles (EVs). Delivering high recovery, improved purity, and intact vesicle structure, the platform offers a versatile, label‐free solution for real‐time EV ...

Laser‐Assisted Phase Engineering of 2D MoS2 for Efficient Solution‐Processed Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Here, local laser‐assisted phase transition from solution‐processed phase‐pure 1T′ to 2H MoS2 is shown to critically depend on the irradiation atmosphere. While processing in air leads to damaged insulating regions, inert conditions yield semiconducting 2H domains, enabling direct field‐effect transistor patterning with optimized lateral 1T′‐2H MoS2 ...

Work through your PID problems on the PID Forum

open access: yes, 2019
As self-confessed PID nerds, we're big fans of a persistent identifier. However, we're also conscious that the uptake and use of PIDs isn't a done deal, and there are things that challenge how broadly these are adopted by the community.
