A lift of Schur's Q-functions to the peak algebra
We construct a lift of Schur's Q-functions to the peak algebra of the symmetric group, called the noncommutative Schur Q-functions, and extract from them a new natural basis with several nice properties such as the positive right-Pieri rule ...

An Equivariant Quantum Pieri Rule for the Grassmannian on Cylindric Shapes
The quantum cohomology ring of the Grassmannian is determined by the quantum Pieri rule for multiplying by Schubert classes indexed by row or column-shaped partitions. We provide a direct equivariant generalization of Postnikov's quantum Pieri rule for the Grassmannian in terms of cylindric shapes, complementing related work of Gorbounov and Korff in ...

We screened a panel of 98 Brassicaceae genotypes (97 Brassica napus and 1 Sinapis alba) for cabbage stem flea beetle (Psylliodes chrysocephala) larval antibiosis. We found limited evidence for antibiosis across B. napus but consistent antibiosis in S. alba. Brassicaceae relatives may therefore better inform resistance traits for breeding.

ABSTRACT Technological innovation and digitalization are widely viewed as key drivers of sustainable development, yet their effectiveness in reducing carbon emissions remains uncertain. This study examines how technological innovation, digitalization, energy structure, and economic activity shape both CO2 emissions and total factor productivity in 22 ...

Raising operators and the Littlewood-Richardson polynomials [PDF]
We use Young's raising operators to derive a Pieri rule for the ring generated by the indeterminates $h_{r,s}$ given in Macdonald's 9th Variation of the Schur functions.

Pieri Integral Formula and Asymptotics of Jack Unitary Characters
We introduce Jack (unitary) characters and prove two kinds of formulas that are suitable for their asymptotics, as the lengths of the signatures that parametrize them go to infinity.

Inkjet‐Printed Physical Unclonable Functions For Secure Authentication
Herein, we propose a low‐cost authentication system based on a scalable fabrication technology and user friendly recognition system. It involves inkjet printing as a manufacturing method and an optical recognition system based on contour features extraction.

Causal Inference Without Complete Information: A Closed‐form Solution
Abstract Understanding the effect of certain factors or interventions is the objective of many researchers and decision‐makers. However, when using quantitative analyses for this purpose, it is virtually impossible to include all relevant data, which often leads to biased coefficients that only indicate correlation rather than effect.
