Combinatorial proofs of Petrie Pieri rule and Plethystic Pieri rule
Petrie symmetric functions $G(k,n)$, also known as truncated homogeneous symmetric functions or modular complete symmetric functions, form a class of symmetric functions interpolating between the elementary symmetric functions $e_n$ and the homogeneous symmetric functions $h_n$.

Nasal Airway Transcriptome Reflects Selected Asthma‐Associated Gene Signatures in the Lower Airways
Seven genes and two gene modules were consistently associated with asthma in both airway compartments in ARMS and were validated in ATLANTIS. The two modules reflected IL‐13 related inflammation and mast cell activity, respectively. Nasal gene signatures provide a non‐invasive proxy for selected bronchial asthma‐associated gene signatures. ARMS, Asthma

Evaluation and normalization of Jack superpolynomials
Two evaluation formulas are derived for the Jack superpolynomials. The evaluation formulas are expressed in terms of products of fillings of skew diagrams.

In this study, we investigated the effects of blueberry domestication on the oviposition behavior and performance of Ganaspis kimorum, a parasitoid of Drosophila suzukii. Domestication of blueberries reduced the oviposition‐searching behavior of the parasitoid but enhanced parasitoid performance, including offspring performance. Additionally, blueberry

ABSTRACT With climate change, abiotic and biotic stresses such as drought and herbivory are predicted to further diminish agricultural productivity. Soybean (Glycine max [L.] Merrill), a crop of global economic importance, is vulnerable to both. However, the interactive effects of drought and herbivory on soybeans haven't been explored, especially ...

ABSTRACT Soybeans, one of the most important legumes, face multiple stresses including drought and herbivory. But the potential transfer of the interactive effects of these stressors onto the transgenerational plants has not been understood. We hypothesised that progeny from stressed parents will have enhanced ecophysiology and defence traits through ...

BC_n-symmetric polynomials [PDF]
We consider two important families of BC_n-symmetric polynomials, namely Okounkov's interpolation polynomials and Koornwinder's orthogonal polynomials.

A lift of the Schur and Hall-Littlewood bases to non-commutative symmetric functions
We introduce a new basis of the non-commutative symmetric functions whose commutative images are Schur functions. Dually, we build a basis of the quasi-symmetric functions which expand positively in the fundamental quasi-symmetric functions and decompose

ABSTRACT Seed defence priming is emerging as a novel, cost‐efficient and environmentally safe tool for pest management. It has been proposed as a means to uncouple the defence‐growth trade‐off in plants by enhancing defence responses with minimal fitness costs, but the mechanisms underlying this role remain elusive.
