Potential impact of Stratospheric Aerosol Injection on horticultural crop suitability in Africa
The Geographical Journal, EarlyView.Short Abstract Global warming will be devastating for horticultural crops in Africa; however, the injection of sulphur into the atmosphere has been proposed as stop‐gap solution that may help reduce the warming. This intervention may lead to an increase (~0.2) in Suitability Index Values (SIV) of mango and tomato over West and central Africa.
