Study for Residue Analysis of Pinoxaden in Agricultural Commodities [PDF]

open access: yesKorean Journal of Environmental Agriculture, 2019
BACKGROUND: Pinoxaden is the phenylpyrazoline herbicide developed by Syngenta Crop Protection, Inc. and marketed on 2006. The maximum residue levels for wheat and barley were set by import tolerance. Thus, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) official analytical method determining Pinoxaden residue was necessary in various food matrixes ...

Prevalence of cross‐ or multiple resistance to the acetyl‐coenzyme A carboxylase inhibitors fenoxaprop, clodinafop and pinoxaden in black‐grass ( Alopecurus myosuroides Huds.) in France [PDF]

open access: yesPest Management Science, 2010
International audienceBACKGROUND: Repeated use of acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) inhibitors, especially fenoxaprop and clodinafop, since the late 1980s has selected for resistance in Alopecurus myosuroides Huds. (black-grass) in France.

Rate response of select grass weeds to pinoxaden

Weed Technology, 2020
AbstractPinoxaden is a POST acetyl coenzyme A carboxylase (ACCase) inhibitor in the phenylpyrazolin chemical family and is labelled for turfgrass use at broadcast rates of 35.5 to 71 g ai ha−1and spot spray rates of 156 to 310 g ai ha−1. A greenhouse rate-response study was conducted to characterize the efficacy of pinoxaden against common grassy weeds.

Regulatory groundwater monitoring: Realistic residues of pinoxaden and metabolites at vulnerable locations

Science of The Total Environment, 2021
A bespoke groundwater monitoring programme was designed to generate a database of pinoxaden and metabolite concentrations in shallow groundwater at agricultural locations across Europe. The data generated from this programme represent a higher tier refinement of modelled exposure estimates and provide realistic information on groundwater quality at ...

Bioinspired Synthesis of Pinoxaden Metabolites Using a Site-Selective C–H Oxidation Strategy

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2022
A bioinspired synthesis of Pinoxaden metabolites 2-5 is described herein. A site-selective C-H oxidation strategy validated by density functional theory (DFT) calculations was devised for preparing metabolites 2-4. Oxidation of the benzylic C-H bond in tertiary alcohol 7 using K2S2O8 and catalytic AgNO3 formed the desired metabolite 2 that enabled ...

Response of St. Augustinegrass cultivars to pinoxaden alone and in combination with select fungicides

Crop, Forage and Turfgrass Management, 2020
AbstractPinoxaden is a herbicide inhibiting acetyl coenzyme A carboxylase recently introduced for use in turfgrass. Currently, pinoxaden is labeled for use in all bermudagrass [Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers.] and zoysiagrass (Zoysia spp.) turfgrass areas except putting greens. However, pinoxaden is only labeled for use in St.

Aryldiones incorporating a [1,4,5]oxadiazepane ring. Part I: Discovery of the novel cereal herbicide pinoxaden

Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry, 2009
Derivatives of the new class of 3-hydroxy-4-phenyl-5-oxo-pyrazolines were optimized towards both herbicidal activity on key annual grass weed species and selectivity in small grain cereal crops. The generic structure can be separated into three parts for the analysis of the structure-activity relationships, namely the aryl, the dione with its prodrug ...

Optimization rate of pinoxaden + clodinafop-propargyl for weed control in wheat

Indian Journal of Weed Science, 2017
A field experiment was conducted during 2011–12 and 2012–13 at GB. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar to study the effect of different rates of pre-mix of pinoxaden 2.53% + clodinafop-propargyl 2.53% on population and growth of weeds and grain yield of wheat. Major weed species identified in the experiment were Phalaris minor, Avena
