[The bronchodilating effect of pirenzepine].

Arerugi = [Allergy], 1992
The purpose of this study was to clarify the bronchodilating effect of pirenzepine (PZ) and to verify its mechanism. Ten asthmatic patients (6 men, 4 women: aged 20 to 65, 5 atopic 5 non-atopic) and ten non-asthmatic volunteers (8 men, 2 women: aged 25 to 60) were studied. Acute effects of pirenzepin on bronchospasm.

International journal of clinical pharmacology, therapy, and toxicology, 1987
The response to pirenzepin, a new acetylcholine receptor blocking agent, was assessed and compared to placebo in patients with reversible bronchoconstriction. A single intravenous injection of 20 mg of pirenzepin induced a significant reduction of airway resistance compared to placebo (p less than 0.05). The anticholinergic substance pirenzepin appears
