1990We are currently involved in a series of studies whose purpose is to compare and contrast the effects of kindling and long-term potentiation (LTP) in the same cortical system, the olfactory cortex. Our findings regarding LTP are presented in detail elsewhere (20,21,22,23).

New results with “genetic tracing” (Zou et al. [2001] Nature 414:173–179) suggest that spatial order is also present in projections from the OB to the olfactory cortex.
