TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

Response of certain malting barley varieties to nitrogen fertilization

open access: yesAgricultural and Food Science, 1972
The Barley Committee of the Laboratory of Brewing in Helsinki, carried out a series of field trials from 1967 to 1969 to investigate the effect of the timing and the quantity of nitrogen fertilization on properties of malting barleys grown in Finland ...

Some results on PIT and GPIT theorems [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Hyperstructures, 2016
In this paper we generalize the P IT and the GP IT that can be used to study the heights of prime ideals in a general commutative Noetherian ring R and the dimension theory of such a ring and we use these generalizations to prove some useful results.

Down‐regulation of Shh in the hair follicles of mice during chemotherapy‐induced hair loss is mediated by the JAK/STAT1 signaling pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We found that during chemotherapy‐induced alopecia (CIA), Sonic hedgehog (Shh) expression significantly decreased in hair follicle Shh+ cells, whereas the Janus‐activated kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (JAK/STAT1) signaling pathway was markedly activated.

KLK7 overexpression promotes an aggressive phenotype and facilitates peritoneal dissemination in colorectal cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...

Research on characteristics and prediction of vehicle speed in open-pit mines based on spatiotemporal and meteorological factors

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua
Existing prediction models for vehicle speed in open-pit mines do not fully consider the influence of meteorological factors on operating speed. The data sample sets are insufficient to train or fine-tune deep learning models.

Boarding is Associated with Reduced Emergency Department Efficiency that is not Mitigated by a Provider in Triage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Introduction: Boarding of patients in the emergency department (ED) is associated with decreased ED efficiency. The provider-in-triage (PIT) model has been shown to improve ED throughput, but it is unclear how these improvements are affected by boarding.
