Agegraphic Dark Energy Model in Non-Flat Universe: Statefinder Diagnostic and $w-w^{\prime}$ Analysis

open access: yes, 2010
We study the interacting agegraphic dark energy (ADE) model in non-flat universe by means of statefinder diagnostic and $w-w^{\prime}$ analysis. First, the evolution of EoS parameter ($w_d$) and deceleration parameter ($q$) in terms of scale factor for ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Chemokine CXCL1 is responsible for cocaine‐induced reward in mice

open access: yesNeuropsychopharmacology Reports, 2018
Aim We have previously demonstrated that upregulation of CC chemokines through dopamine receptor signaling in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) underlies methamphetamine (Meth)‐induced reward. Given the common pharmacological property of Meth and cocaine (Coca)

Nonmonotonous Magnetic Field Dependence and Scaling of the Thermal Conductivity for Superconductors with Nodes of the Order Parameter

open access: yes, 1998
We show that there is a new mechanism for nonmonotonous behavior of magnetic field dependence of the electronic thermal conductivity of clean superconductors with nodes of the order parameter on the Fermi surface.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Profile alterations of a symmetrical light pulse coming through a quantum well

open access: yes, 2000
The theory of a response of a two-energy-level system, irradiated by symmetrical light pulses, has been developed.(Suchlike electronic system approximates under the definite conditions a single ideal quantum well (QW) in a strong magnetic field {\bf H ...

Place-dependence of renewable energy technologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Climate change mitigation requires rapid decarbonization of the current energy systems worldwide. Developing renewable energy technologies is not only an important way to help countries achieve their carbon emission reduction goals, but is also considered increasingly promising for economic development in both industrialized and emerging countries ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Predicting the Impact of Urban Development on Locals’ Place Attachment in Peripheral Settlements [PDF]

open access: yesUrbanism. Arhitectura. Constructii
As urban development reshapes cityscapes, residents in peripheral settlements face challenges in maintaining Place Attachment. This study examines the potential disruption of Place Dependence, Place Identity, and Place Affection—core components of Place ...
