Theory of anomalous collective diffusion in colloidal monolayers on a spherical interface [PDF]
A planar colloidal monolayer exhibits anomalous collective diffusion due to the hydrodynamic interactions. We investigate how this behavior is affected by the curvature of the monolayer when it resides on the interface of a spherical droplet. It is found

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

The dynamical behavior analysis of the fractional perturbed Gerdjikov–Ivanov equation
In this article, the fractional perturbed Gerdjikov–Ivanov equation is investigated. Firstly, the fractional perturbed Gerdjikov–Ivanov equation is transformed into an ordinary differential equation through traveling wave transformation.

Experimental and numerical studies of inclined cables: free and parametrically-forced vibrations [PDF]
Because of few experimental studies in the inclined cable literature, this paper is aimed at experimental modelling and investigating the linear free and nonlinear forced vibrations of sagged inclined cables, by discussing the relevant outcomes in the ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Optimal Walking of an Underactuated Planar Biped with Segmented Torso [PDF]
Recently, underactuated bipeds with pointed feet have been studied to achieve dynamic and energy efficient robot walking patterns. However, these studies usually simplify a robot torso as one link, which is different from a human torsos containing 33 ...
