The Effect of Convective Overstability on Planet Disk Interactions [PDF]
AbstractWe run global two dimensional hydrodynamical simulations, using the PLUTO code and the planet-disk model of Uribe et al. 2011, to investigate the effect of the convective overstability (CO) on planet-disk interactions. First, we study the long-term evolution of planet-induced vortices. We found that the CO leads to smoother planetary gap edges,

RODEO: a new method for planet-disk interaction [PDF]
In this paper we describe a new method for studying the hydrodynamical problem of a planet embedded in a gaseous disk. We use a finite volume method with an approximate Riemann solver (the Roe solver), together with a special way to integrate the source terms.

Gap formation in a self-gravitating disk and the associated migration of the embedded giant planet [PDF]
We present the results of our recent study on the interactions between a giant planet and a self-gravitating gas disk. We investigate how the disk's self-gravity affects the gap formation process and the migration of the giant planet.

Star-planet interactions [PDF]
When planets are formed from the protoplanetary disk and after the disk has dissipated, the evolution of their orbits is governed by tidal interactions, friction, and gravitational drag, and also by changes in the mass of the star and planet.

High-resolution observations of several debris disks reveal structures such as gaps and spirals, suggestive of gravitational perturbations induced by underlying planets.

TOI-1859b: A 64 Day Warm Jupiter on an Eccentric and Misaligned Orbit
Warm Jupiters are close-in giant planets with relatively large planet–star separations (i.e., 10 < a / R _⋆ < 100). Given their weak tidal interactions with their host stars, measurements of stellar obliquity may be used to probe the initial obliquity ...

Exploiting the performance gains of modern disk drives by enhancing data locality. [PDF]
Due to the widening performance gap between RAM and disk drives, a large number of I/O optimization methods have been proposed and designed to alleviate the impact of this gap.

Mutually misaligned circumbinary planets may form in a warped or broken gas disk or from later planet–planet interactions. With numerical simulations and analytic estimates we explore the dynamics of two circumbinary planets with a large mutual ...

Dynamics of the TWA 7 planetary system and possibility of an additional planet
Context. The debris disk surrounding the young star TWA 7 exhibits morphological features that tightly constrain its planetary architecture. JWST/MIRI observations have recently revealed a directly imaged outer planet orbiting at a large separation.

The Planet-Disk Connection: from Protoplanetary Disks to Planetary Atmospheres [PDF]
When gas giant planets form, they influence the structure of the surrounding gas disk, which in turn shapes the final compositions of their gas envelopes.
