Modification of Rice Plant Height by Suppressing the Height-Controlling Gene, D18, in Rice.

open access: yesBreeding Science, 2002
Gibberellin (GA) 3β-hydroxylase catalyzes the final step of active GA synthesis in plants. In rice, the enzyme is encoded by at least two genes (OsGA3ox1 and OsGA3ox2) with differential patterns of expression. Previously, we reported that the OsGA3ox2 gene is identical with the D18 gene. The loss-of-function mutants of D18 designated as d18-AD (Akibare

Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

OstMAPKKK5, a truncated mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 5, positively regulates plant height and yield in rice

open access: yesCrop Journal, 2019
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a major food crop worldwide. Plant height and yield are important agronomic traits of rice. Several genes regulating plant height and/or yield have been cloned.

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.

Brassinosteroid regulation of plant height in maize

open access: yes, 2018
Brassinosteroids (BRs) are a type of phytohormone that has important roles in plant development. Even though they are well studied in model species, their role in maize development is poorly understood. To address this issue, two approaches were undertaken.

Affecting the Properties of Copper–Graphene Electroconductive Composite by Severe Plastic Deformation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Copper‐based composites enhanced with carbon feature convenient mechanical properties and favorable electric conductivity. Processing via deformation and thermomechanical treatments can introduce advantageous microstructures further enhancing their performance. Herein, copper–graphene powder‐based composites are directly consolidated via rotary swaging

The transcription factor GmBIM1 negatively regulates plant height in soybean (Glycine max L.)

open access: yesCrop Journal
Plant height is a key agronomic trait in soybean (Glycine max L.), as it directly influences the number of nodes on the main stem, pod number per plant, yield, and lodging resistance.

Coleoptile length and plant height of modern tall and semi-dwarf European winter wheat varieties

open access: yesActa Societatis Botanicorum Poloniae, 2011
A total of 124 recent winter wheat accessions of European origin were screened for coleoptile length and plant height. Most of the accessions (74.2%) possessed a coleoptile length ranging between 5.00 and 7.00 cm.
