Root-shoot ratio in irrigated plants
Relationship between roots and shoots ofPimpinella saxifraga L.,Petroselinum hortenseHoffm.,Lactuca sativa L., andBeta vulgaris subsp.esculenta(Salisbury) Gurke var.altissimaRoessig was studied in irrigated and non-irrigated plants. It was found that the irrigation water did not influence distinctly the root-shoot ratio of the experimental plants. From

This study investigates electromechanical PUFs that improve on traditional electric PUFs. The electron transport materials are coated randomly through selective ligand exchange. It produces multiple keys and a key with motion dependent on percolation and strain, and approaches almost ideal inter‐ and intra‐hamming distances.

Carbon source and gelling agent influences on Indica rice regeneration (cv IACuba-28) from callus
Several variations on plant regeneration medium from callus in IACuba-28 rice cultivar were evaluated using the basal MS medium with the same grouth regulator concentrations. As carbon source 30g.l-1 of maltose or sucrose was used, in combination with 8g.

Anisometric carbon nanodots are synthesized directly from a liquid crystal precursor and embedded into polymer network liquid crystals to create soft, multifunctional photonic films. These hybrid devices exhibit polarized photoluminescence, broad UV absorption, and fast, electrically tunable light modulation.

Peptide Sequencing With Single Acid Resolution Using a Sub‐Nanometer Diameter Pore
To sequence a single molecule of Aβ1−42–sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), the aggregate is forced through a sub‐nanopore 0.4 nm in diameter spanning a 4.0 nm thick membrane. The figure is a visual molecular dynamics (VMD) snapshot depicting the translocation of Aβ1−42–SDS through the pore; only the peptide, the SDS, the Na+ (yellow/green) and Cl− (cyan ...
