“Analysis of Nematode Ventral Nerve Cords Suggests Multiple Instances of Evolutionary Addition and Loss of Neurons” Han et al. DAPI staining of Xiphinema sp. (Clade 2) highlighting the neuronal‐like nuclei within the ventral nerve cord. ABSTRACT Despite their diversity in habitats, nematodes are often considered to have a highly conserved neuroanatomy.

Internalized Evolutionary Inertia on Body Plan Evolution
Animal development appears to intrinsically bias phenotypic evolution, though the exact mechanism is unclear. This review discusses potential mechanisms by which animal embryogenesis limits phenotypic diversification and considers whether inherent evolutionary inertia could allow us to predict future evolutionary paths.

Non‐Invaginated Wing Primordia in Holometabolous Insects: First Report From Mecoptera
We investigated wing primordium development in the scorpionfly Mavropanorpa japonica and present the first detailed histological description of a late‐forming, non‐invaginated wing primordium lacking a morphologically distinct peripodial epithelium in Mecoptera.

ABSTRACT Horses are major domestic animals and cultural symbols that have accompanied humans for millennia. They underpin transport, agriculture, warfare and sport, and also provide a model for studying domestication, complex traits and adaptive evolution.

In soybean, the trihelix transcription factor GmGT‐2F positively regulates the expression of the α‐galactosidase gene GmAGAL, thereby modulating seed oil content. The cyclophilin GmCYP2 interacts with GmGT‐2F and suppresses GmAGAL activation. Haplotype diversity analysis of GmGT‐2F, GmCYP2, and GmAGAL identified favorable haplotype combinations ...
