Effect of Plasma Composition on the Interpretation of Faraday Rotation

open access: yes, 2009
Faraday rotation (FR) is widely used to infer the orientation and strength of magnetic fields in astrophysical plasmas. Although the absence of electron-positron pairs is a plausible assumption in many astrophysical environments, the magnetospheres of ...

Discussion of plasma focus parameters and gain/loss energy ‎processes for a designed plasma focus device

open access: yesSt. Petersburg Polytechnical University Journal: Physics and Mathematics
In this research, a design for a dense plasma focus device has been developed, the plasma-focus parameters and the processes of gain/loss energy have been studied using the Lee code.

A Lumped Parameter Model of Plasma Focus

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 2004
In this paper, a fast running computer model of a plasma focus device is presented. The model is based on the snowplow model constructed with effective parameters validated against experimental results. A pinch model is included to calculate the temporal evolution of the focal variables.

Calculation of the Inductance of Plasma Column at PF-1000 Device with Assumed Current Distribution

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2013
Processed data is taken from the D-D fusion reaction experiments on PF-1000 at IFPILM Warsaw, operating with 2 MA, 1011 neutron yield, using interferometry, temporal resolved neutron diagnostics, magnetic probe diagnostics and X-ray diagnostics.

Nonlinear Electromagnetic Waves in Magnetosphere of a Magnetar

open access: yes, 2010
We compute electromagnetic wave propagation through the magnetosphere of a magnetar. The magnetosphere is modeled as the QED vacuum and a cold, strongly magnetized plasma.

Parametric profiles of plasma current sheath in argon plasma focus during axial phase

open access: yesDiscover Applied Sciences
This study presents the findings of theoretical and experimental studies into the dynamical behaviors of the plasma current sheath (PCS) and its parameters during the axial phase of plasma focus at the inter-electrode discharge of a 2.2 kJ (EAEA-PF1 ...
