Neuraminidase 1 Exacerbated Glycolytic Dysregulation and Cardiotoxicity by Destabilizing SIRT1 through Interactions with NRF2 and HIF1α

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 25, July 3, 2025.
NEU1, a key regulator of glycolysis, is markedly upregulated following DOX treatment. This upregulation is attributed to HIF1α’s transcriptional repression, requiring intricate interactions with NRF2. Increased NEU1 facilitates SIRT1 lysosomal degradation, contributing to aberrant glycolytic phenotype and cardiac damage.

Absence of Functional Autoantibodies Targeting Angiotensin II Receptor Type 1 and Endothelin‐1 Type A Receptor in Circulation and Purified IgG From Patients With Systemic Sclerosis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Volume 77, Issue 7, Page 901-913, July 2025.
Objective Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare but severe autoimmune disease characterized by immune dysregulation, fibrosis, and vasculopathy. Although previous studies have highlighted the presence of functional autoantibodies targeting the angiotensin II receptor type 1 (AT1) and endothelin‐1 type A receptor (ETAR), leading to autoantibody‐mediated ...

Medication Causes and Treatment of Delirium in Patients With and Without Dementia

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 15, Issue 7, July 2025.
Medication associated risk related to cause and treatment of delirium ABSTRACT Introduction Medication associated with delirium in adult patients is poorly understood and considered both a predisposing and precipitating factor. Prescribing advice is lacking. This systematic review aims to collate evidence on medication risks in delirium associated with
