Femtosecond‐Laser Mould Texturing Enables Tunable Biointerfaces in COC Microfluidics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Femtosecond‐laser texturing of injection‐mould inserts enables scalable engineering of biointerfaces in cyclic olefin copolymer microfluidics. Replicated micro‐ and nano‐topographies modulate surface roughness and wettability, leading to texture‐dependent protein adsorption and cell adhesion without chemical post‐processing.

Minimally Invasive Delivery of Optical Nanosensors Using Injectable Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Injectable peptide hydrogels offer a minimally invasive delivery platform for single‐walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT)‐based near‐infrared fluorescent sensors, enabling real‐time measurement of drug concentrations. Encapsulated SWCNTs show a dose‐dependent fluorescence response across physiologically relevant concentrations and retain their fluorescence ...

Experimental studies of a helicon plasma

open access: yes, 2008
textThe goal of this dissertation is to provide experimental insight into the mechanism behind the efficient power absorption of helicon plasmas. This work presents evidence which is consistent with the Radially Localized Helicon (RLH) theory put forth ...

Negative-mass Instability in Nonlinear Plasma Waves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The negative-mass instability (NMI), previously found in ion traps, appears as a distinct regime of the sideband instability in nonlinear plasma waves with trapped particles.

Van der Waals Chromium Telluride Thin Films Prepared by Hybrid Pulsed Laser Deposition With Tunable Magnetism

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Epitaxial Cr(1+δ)Te2 thin films were synthesized via hybrid Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) that combined Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) techniques with PLD. Control of the Cr intercalation, δ, enabled modulation of magnetic anisotropy, Curie temperature, and transport properties.
