Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Plastic hepatocyte states limit liver cancer development

open access: yesNature Communications
The liver has remarkable regenerative capacity owing to the boundless proliferative potential of hepatocytes. During liver injury, sustained regeneration must be balanced by mechanisms limiting overgrowth and tumorigenesis.

Collapse Scenarios of High-Rise Buildings Using Plastic Limit Analysis

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2009
The Twin Towers of the World Trade Center (WTC) in New York, USA collapsed on 11 September, 2001. The incident is regarded as the most severe disaster for high-rise buildings in history.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Structural integrity assessment of superheater outlet penetration tubeplate

open access: yes, 2009
In recent years, the Linear Matching Method (LMM) has been well developed for the integrity assessment of the component subjected to cyclic thermal and mechanical loads.

The limit states of polymetallic plates with piecewise elliptic contours

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
A unified approach to the study of plastic deformation of polymetallic isotropic plates with smooth and piecewise smooth support contours under the influence of static loads is developed.

Effect of various temperatures to liquid limit, plastic limit, and plasticity index of clays

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2019
This research aims to study the liquid limit, plastic limit, and plasticity index of soil samples treated with elevated temperatures. Liquid limit and plastic limit are physical properties of soils. Bentonite, kaolin, and Pasir Panjang samples were heated in an oven from room temperature up to 100 °C before the test.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Line-tension model for plasticity as the Gamma-limit of a nonlinear dislocation energy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper we rigorously derive a line-tension model for plasticity as the Gamma-limit of a nonlinear mesoscopic dislocation energy, without resorting to the introduction of an ad hoc cut-off radius.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
