Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Cylindrical bending of orthotropic plate strip based on nth-order plate theory

open access: yesJournal of Materials and Engineering Structures, 2014
In this paper, cylindrical bending of orthotropic plates is presented using nth-order plate theory. Classical plate theory and parabolic shear deformation theory of Reddy can be considered as special cases of present theory.

Application of the Method of Initial Functions to Study Dynamics and Stress Distribution in Structural Members

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering
This study investigates plate analyses employing the method of initial functions (MIFs) across various plate geometries and loading conditions. The conclusions derived from thick rectangular plates highlight substantial thickness-induced effects on ...

Linearized plastic plate models as Gamma-limits of 3D finite elastoplasticity

open access: yes, 2013
The subject of this paper is the rigorous derivation of reduced models for a thin plate by means of {\Gamma}-convergence, in the framework of finite plasticity.

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

The stability of the press plate by creep theory

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 1999
According to creep theory incurves of pressed plate increasing during the time. It means that deformated plate is not stable.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

ON HAMILTONIAN FORMULATIONS AND CONSERVATION LAWS FOR PLATE THEORIES OF VEKUA-AMOSOV TYPE

open access: yesInternational Journal for Computational Civil and Structural Engineering, 2017
Some variants of the generalized Hamiltonian formulation of the plate theory of I. N. Vekua – A. A. Amosov type are presented. The infinite dimensional formulation with one evolution variable, or an “instantaneous” formalism, as well as the de Donder ...
