Platelet‐activating factor receptor (PAFR)‐deficient mice developed a more severe obese state characterized by higher body mass (~25%) and epididymal fat mass (~55%) with age than that of wild‐type (WT) littermates. PAFR‐deficient mice did not show changes in the expression of critical genes involved in anabolic and catabolic ...

Radioimmunoassay for the Novel Platelet Activating Factor Receptor Antagonist E5880
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1994A direct radioimmunoassay for E5880, 1-ethyl-2-[[N-(2-methoxybenzoyl)-N-[[(2R)-2-methoxy-3-[[[4- [(octadecylcarbamoyl)- oxy]piperidino]carbonyl]oxy]propoxy]carbonyl]amino]methyl] pyridinium chloride, a novel analogue-type antagonist of platelet activating factor (PAF), was developed.

Cloning and Characterization of a Murine Platelet-Activating Factor Receptor Gene
1997A murine gene encoding a platelet-activating factor receptor (PAFR) was cloned. The gene was mapped to a distal region of chromosome 4 both by fluorescence in situ hybridization and by molecular linkage analysis. Northern blot analysis showed a high expression of the PAFR message in peritoneal macrophages.

High and Low Affinity Mutants of Platelet-Activating Factor Receptor
1997Platelet-activating factor (l-O-alkyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine; PAF) is a potent phospholipid mediator with diverse physiological actions in a wide variety of cells and tissues (1). PAF as well as histamine, prostaglandines and leukotrienes, is thought to play pivotal roles in allergic and inflammatory diseases.

The Role of Platelet-Activating Factor and Its Receptor in Endometrial Receptivity
1996Successful mammalian pregnancy requires the preparation of a receptive endometrium into which the embryo attaches and invades. Disorders of implantation cause infertility and may be the cause of life-threatening complications in pregnancy1. Impaired implantation is a major cause of peri-implantation embryonic loss2; about 30% of all pregnancies end ...

[Stroke, platelet activating factor and receptor antagonists].
Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2019Stroke is an acute cerebrovascular disease with high morbidity, disability and mortality. The prevention and treatment conditions for stroke is severe all over the world. Antiplatelet aggregation is an effective treatment. Platelet activation factor (PAF) is another important medium in mediating platelet aggregation, which plays an important role in ...
