Growth mode control of the free carrier density in SrTiO3-d films [PDF]
We have studied the growth dynamics and electronic properties of SrTiO3-d homoepitaxial films by pulsed laser deposition. We find the two dominant factors determining the growth mode are the kinetics of surface crystallization and oxidation. When matched, persistent two-dimensional layer-by-layer growth can be obtained for hundreds of unit cells.

Combining supercritical CO2 (s‐CO2) cycles with particle‐based heat transfer media holds great potential in concentrated solar power plants but poses enormous material challenges. The particle/s‐CO2 heat exchanger must withstand extreme conditions, including high temperatures, pressures, CO2 corrosion, and erosion.

The platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha promoter-directed expression of cre recombinase in mouse placenta. [PDF]
BackgroundNumerous pathologies of pregnancy originate from placental dysfunction. It is essential to understand the functions of key genes in the placenta in order to discern the etiology of placental pathologies.

Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) may aggravate liver fibrosis. In this study, a novel oral targeting nanoemulsion is fabricated to enhance the therapeutic effect of antifibrotic drug‐pirfenidone (PFD) on fibrosis after TACE. Studies have shown that PFD nanoemulsion can enhance the oral liver targeting effect of PFD, and effectively improve the ...

Inequality in Turkey: Looking Beyond Growth [PDF]
This paper investigates the relationships between economic growth, investment in human capital and income equality in Turkey. The conclusion drawn based on the data from the OECD and the World Bank suggests that economic growth can improve income equality depending on the expenditures undertaken by the government.

Electric Pulse Regulated MXene Based Nanozymes for Integrative Bioelectricity Immuno‐Cancer Therapy
MXenzyme‐mediated bioelectricity cancer therapy (MXenzyme‐BECT) enhances cancer cell death through irreversible depolarization, ion channel disruption, ROS generation, and immunogenic cell death. Computational simulations reveal the electrical mechanisms by which MXenzyme acts on single cells and support to predict treatment parameters. Next‐generation

Constraining the growth factor with baryon oscillations [PDF]
The growth factor of linear fluctuations is probably one of the least known quantity in observational cosmology. Here we discuss the constraints that baryon oscillations in galaxy power spectra from future surveys can put on a conveniently parametrized growth factor.

Bi‐directionally assembled BN µ‐platelets in micropatterns formed by a micro‐molding method for thermal interface materials are demonstrated. The BN µ‐platelets are vertically aligned selectively, while compressed regions without patterns accommodate horizontally assembled BN µ‐platelets. Through anisotropic orientation, high thermal conductivities for

Duramater Healing Following Decompression And Posterior Stabilization Using Platelet Rich Plasma And Platelet Rich Fibrin: A Systematic Review [PDF]
Background: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) applications have the potential to play adjunctive roles in a variety of regenerative medicine treatment plans. PRP therapy is based on the fact that platelet growth factors (PGFs) support the three phases of wound ...

Platelets and platelet-derived growth factor in closure of the ductus arteriosus
The crucial role of platelets in the permanent closure of the ductus arteriosus has recently been elucidated in an animal model; however, clinical studies investigating the impact of platelet count on ductal patency have conflicting results.
