A Murine Bispecific Antibody Efficiently Redirects T Cells Against Calr Mutated Stem Cells In Vivo

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Calreticulin (CALR) mutations are prevalent in 20%–30% of patients with BCR::ABL1‐negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN). Mutant calreticulin (mutCALR), presented by the thrombopoietin receptor (MPL, also known as TPOR or CD110) on the surface of the disease‐initiating MPN progenitors, represents an ideal target for curative ...

Fungal infections after liver transplantation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
The risk factors for development of invasive fungal infections after liver transplantation were (1) longer duration of treatment with nonprophylactic IV antibiotics, (2) longer cumulative surgical time and a higher number of laparotomies, (3) an ...

Predictive Value of Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte Ratio, Platelet-to-lymphocyte Ratio, and Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and Platelet-to-lymphocyte Ratio Product in Heart Failure: A Cross-sectional Study

open access: yesResearch in Cardiovascular Medicine
Abstract Background: Neutrophilto-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and plateletto-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) are important inflammatory indicators used to see the progression of various diseases, including heart failure (HF). Considering the fact that both NLR and PLR are good inflammatory indicators and have predictive values, we ...

Development of an in situ small intestinal injection technique for targeted macromolecule delivery and in vivo functional studies in mice

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This study developed a minimally invasive, in situ small intestinal injection technique for mice, enabling targeted delivery of bioactive molecules while bypassing gastric degradation. Validation using functional assays and single‐cell RNA sequencing reveals high‐mobility group box 1–mediated epithelial responses, offering a translational tool for gut ...

Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio, platelet to lymphocyte ratio, lymphocyte to monocyte ratio and Systemic Inflammatory Index in sexually transmitted diseases

open access: yesMedicine and Pharmacy Reports
Introduction. Hematologic biomarkers of inflammation may serve as valuable adjuncts in clinical practice, aiding in several aspects such as differential diagnosis, prognostic assessment for patient stratification and monitoring the efficacy of antimicrobial therapy.

Back Again to the Future: A New Era for Cerebroprotection

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Cerebroprotection is a fresh framework for designing neurological therapy that targets glia and vascular cells, in addition to neurons. In the future, successful cerebroprotection will involve targeting all elements of the neurovascular unit. Preclinical trials must include functional outcomes, as well as lesion morphometry.
