Inhibiting effect of acetonitrile on oxygen reduction on polycrystalline pt electrode in sodium chloride solution [PDF]

open access: yesHemijska Industrija, 2012
The oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) was studied on the polycrystalline Pt electrode in 0.1 M NaCl electrolyte containing various amounts of acetonitrile (AcN).

Vapor-deposited platinum as a fuel-cell catalyst [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
Electrodes are prepared by vacuum deposition of platinum on nickel substrate with conventional vapor-deposition apparatus. Amount of platinum loaded on substrate can be veried by changing exposure time during deposition.

Knockout of the mitoribosome rescue factors Ict1 or Mtrfr is viable in zebrafish but not mice: compensatory mechanisms underlying each factor's loss

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mitochondria contain two mitoribosome rescue factors, ICT1 and MTRFR (C12orf65). ICT1 also functions as a mitoribosomal protein in mice and humans, and its loss is lethal. Although Mtrfr knockout mice could not be generated, knockout zebrafish lines for ict1 and mtrfr were established.

New electrocatalysts for hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
Platinum-silver, palladium-gold, and platinum-gold alloys serve as oxygen reduction catalysts in high-current-density cells. Catalysts were tested on polytetrafluoroethylene-bonded cathodes and a hydrogen anode at an operating cell temperature of 80 ...

Chronopotentiometry at platinum electrode in KF-NaF-AlF3-Al2O3 melt [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Some features of the mechanism of the anode process on platinum in KF–NaF–AlF3–Al2O3 melt at 750–780 °C depending on the of anodic current density (0.5 mA/cm2 to 2.0 A/cm2) and anodic pulse duration have been studied using chronopotentiometry method. In

Current trends in single‐cell RNA sequencing applications in diabetes mellitus

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA sequencing is a powerful approach to decipher the cellular and molecular landscape at a single‐cell resolution. The rapid development of this technology has led to a wide range of applications, including the detection of cellular and molecular mechanisms and the identification and introduction of novel potential diagnostic and ...

Issues Relevant to C-H Activation at Platinum(II): Comparative Studies between Cationic, Zwitterionic, and Neutral Platinum(II) Compounds in Benzene Solution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Cationic late metal systems are being highly scrutinized due to their propensity to mediate so-called electrophilic C-H activation reactions. This contribution compares the reactivity of highly reactive cationic platinum(II) systems with structurally

Phenotypic plasticity in a novel set of EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor‐adapted non‐small cell lung cancer cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Phenotypic plasticity in a newly established set of EGFR inhibitor‐adapted NSCLC cell lines during adaptation and in established cell lines. Here, we introduce novel sublines of the EGFR‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell lines HCC827 and HCC4006 adapted to the EGFR kinase inhibitors gefitinib (HCC827rGEFI2μm, HCC4006rGEFI1μm), erlotinib ...

Shape-Evolution and Growth Mechanism of Fe3O4 Polyhedrons

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2015
The shape evolution of spinel-structured Fe3O4 was systematically investigated using a one-pot solvothermal route. Using FeCl3·6H2O as the precursor, triangular and hexagonal plates, octahedrons, dodecahedrons, and spherical Fe3O4 were obtained by ...
