Multi‐omics and low‐input proteomics profiling reveals dynamic regulation driving pluripotency initiation in early mouse embryos

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...

Modification of the existing maximum residue levels for cyflufenamid in stone fruits and globe artichokes

open access: yesEFSA Journal, 2016
In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the evaluating Member State (EMS), Greece, received an application from Nisso Chemical Europe GmbH to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRLs) for the active substance cyflufenamid in ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

BBN PLUM [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 3rd conference on Message understanding - MUC3 '91, 1991
Perhaps the most important facts about our participation in MUC-3 reflect our starting point and goals. In March, 1990, we initiated a pilot study on the feasibility and impact of applying statistical algorithms in natural language processing. The experiments were concluded in March, 1991 and lead us to believe that statistical approaches can ...

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Effect of 1-MCP Treatment on Quality and Reactive Oxygen Metabolism of Prune Fruits During Storage Period

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
To investigate the preservation effect of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) treatment on prune plums, 'France' prune plums from Kashi Jiashi County, Xinjiang, were used as the test material. The fruits were fumigated with different concentrations of 1-MCP (0,

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Growing Plums in Florida

open access: yesEDIS, 2016
Plums could be a potential crop for growers and homeowners in Florida and other mild winter areas throughout the Gulf coast, but many plum varieties will not grow well enough in Florida to produce fruit.

Derivation and characterization of retinal pigment epithelium from urine‐derived iPSCs

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Age‐related macular degeneration causes vision loss via RPE dysfunction and loss. Traditional iPSC therapies rely on invasive biopsies, limiting scalability. Here, we utilize urine‐derived stem cells as an accessible source to generate u‐iPSCs, successfully differentiated into pigmented RPE. This “Urine‐to‐Retina” platform provides a promising path for
