N6‐Methyladenosine (m6A) in Liver Disease: Pathogenic Mechanisms and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesiNew Medicine, Volume 2, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Accumulating evidence highlights the critical role of epigenetic modifications, particularly N6‐methyladenosine (m6A), in liver disease. As the most abundant RNA modification in eukaryotic cells, m6A is dynamically regulated by multicomponent m6A methyltransferases (e.g., METTL3 and METTL14), demethylases (FTO and ALKBH5), and m6A‐binding ...

CD133 Shapes Extracellular Vesicle Cargo and Angiogenic Function in Basal‐Like Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are central mediators of tumour‐stroma communication, yet the mechanisms governing their biogenesis and functional cargo remain poorly understood. Here, we identify CD133 (Prominin‐1), selectively expressed in basal‐like triple‐negative breast cancer (BL‐TNBC) cells, acts as a key organizer of EV production and ...

Tumour‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles Induce Diffuse Large B‐Cell Lymphoma Progression Through Macrophage‐Mediated MDSC Accumulation

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Elevated peripheral myeloid‐derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) predicted suppressed anti‐tumour immunity and poor prognosis in diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma (DLBCL) patients. Here we demonstrated that tumour‐derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) served as a messenger, delivering cholesterol from lymphoma cells to macrophages.
