Robust point cloud normal estimation via neighborhood reconstruction

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2019
This article presents a novel method for estimating normals on unorganized point clouds that preserves sharp features. Many existing methods are unable to reliably estimate normals for points around sharp features since the neighborhood employed for the ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Category-level object pose estimation from depth point cloud

open access: yes智能科学与技术学报, 2022
Aiming at the problem of category-level object pose estimation, a method was proposed to accurately estimate the pose of the target object by only taking the point cloud scanned by the depth camera as the input, with knowing the category of input point ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Multi-point estimation weldment recognition and estimation of pose with data-driven robotics design

open access: yesNonlinear Engineering
In robotic welding systems, weldment recognition and pose estimation play crucial roles in achieving precision and efficiency. Weldment recognition involves identifying and classifying different types of weld joints and components with high accuracy ...
