Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

What does the fox say? Arctic fox vocalization and associated den behaviours
Foxes (Vulpes spp.) are small, solitary canids with relatively low social complexity compared to more gregarious canids, such as wolves and dogs. They are, therefore, expected to have a relatively simple vocal repertoire, with limited low-intensity ...

This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

« Bon flic » : quelques éléments sur l’image de la police dans le polar français contemporain
L’intérêt de la critique littéraire pour le roman noir fait parfois oublier que le polar est aussi, historiquement, une littérature de police. À l’heure où la question policière nourrit mécontentements et débats en France, où les conditions d’une police ...

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Le Paris des Aventures extraordinaires d’Adèle Blanc-Sec de Jacques Tardi
Piece of art, space and society are here approached in a relational perspective which focuses on the links they entertain. More precisely, the question of the city representation in the comic-book concerns geography insomuch as this artistic genre ...

The uniqueness of the SDPS-set of the symplectic dual polar space $DW(4n-1,q)$, $n \geq 2$ [PDF]
SDPS-sets are very nice sets of points in dual polar spaces which themselves carry the structure of dual polar spaces. They were introduced in \cite{DB-V:2} because they gave rise to new valuations and hyperplanes of dual polar spaces.
