The Solvability of a Class of Convolution Equations Associated with 2D FRFT

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
In this paper, the solvability of a class of convolution equations is discussed by using two-dimensional (2D) fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) in polar coordinates. Firstly, we generalize the 2D FRFT to the polar coordinates setting.

pcolor in polar coordinates

open access: yes, 2020
polarPcolor aims to represent a pseudocolour plot in polar coordinates, with a radial grid to allow clear visualization of the data. It is well suited for Plan Position Indicator (PPI) scan for radar or lidar for example [1].

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Curved beam elasticity theory based on the displacement function method using a finite difference scheme

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2019
A displacement function suitable for plane curved beam in polar coordinates is introduced, and a partial differential governing equation of plane curved beam is obtained by theoretical analysis. Then, the formulation of displacement components and stress

Discrete 2D Fourier Transform In Polar Coordinates [PDF]

open access: yes
The discrete Fourier transform in Cartesian coordinates has proved to be invaluable in many disciplines. However, less theory has been developed for functions that are best described in polar coordinates. In this paper, a discrete 2D-Fourier transform in

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.
