Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Gas chromatographic enantiomer separation on single and mixed cyclodextrin derivative chiral stationary phases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Capillary gas chromatographic enantiomer separation of some polar compounds, including alpha-phenylethylamine, styrene oxide, pyrethroid insecticides and other carboxylates, was investigated on modified cyclodextrin (CD) chiral stationary phases.

Conversion of polar and non-polar algae oil lipids to fatty acid methyl esters with solid acid catalysts:A model compound study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Bio-based fuels are becoming more and more important due to the depleting fossil resources. The production of biodiesel from algae oil is challenging compared to terrestrial vegetable oils, as algae oil consists of polar fatty acids, such as ...

5-Azido-4-dimethylamino-1-methyl-1,2,4-triazolium Hexafluoridophosphate and Derivatives

open access: yesCrystals, 2016
5-Azido-4-(dimethylamino)-1-methyl-1,2,4-triazolium hexafluoridophosphate was synthesized from the corresponding 5-bromo compound with NaN3. Reaction with bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene yielded a tricyclic aziridine, addition of an N-heterocyclic carbene ...

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Quantitative predictions on auxin-induced polar distribution of PIN proteins during vein formation in leaves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The dynamic patterning of the plant hormone auxin and its efflux facilitator the PIN protein are the key regulator for the spatial and temporal organization of plant development.

Photoluminescence Dependance of 2-Bromo-3-aminobenzo[de]anthracene-7-one on Solvent Polarity for Potential Applications in Color-Tunable Optoelectronics

open access: yesMolecules
The novel benzanthrone derivative, 2-bromo-3-aminobenzo[de]anthracene-7-one (2-Br-3-NH2BA), was synthesized and extensively characterized to investigate its photophysical behavior in various solvents.

Epigenetic silencing of the liver‐specific lncRNA LUNAR promotes liver cancer progression via NOTCH activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...

Sensitivity analysis for multidisciplinary design optmization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
When designing a complex industrial product, the designer often has to optimise simultaneously multiple conflicting criteria. Such a problem does not usually have a unique solution, but a set of non-dominated solutions known as Pareto solutions.

VEGETATION CHANGE DETECTION USING LANDSAT DATA IN NORTHERN FINLAND : A TEST CASE USING SMOOTHING AND LAPLACIAN FILTERING (15th Symposium on Polar Biology) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
P(論文)It has been predicted that some boreal tree species would migrate north several hundred meters annually in response to the predicted global warming due to doubling of CO_2 by the middle of the next century.
