Lipid profiling of polarized human monocyte-derived macrophages [PDF]

open access: yesProstaglandins & Other Lipid Mediators, 2016
The highly orchestrated transcriptional and metabolic reprogramming during activation drastically transforms the main functions and physiology of human macrophages across the polarization spectrum. Lipids, for example, can modify protein function by acting remotely as signaling molecules but also locally by altering the physical properties of cellular ...

Synthesis of purines and adenines containing the hexafluoroisopropyl group

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2020
Several new derivatives of adenine, purine, and theophylline containing the (CF3)2CH group connected to a nitrogen atom of the imidazole ring were prepared by the reaction of 2,2,4,4-tetrakis(trifluoromethyl)-1,3-dithietane (1) with the corresponding ...

Inequalities concerning polar derivative of polynomials

open access: yesAnnales UMCS, Mathematica, 2011
In this paper we obtain certain results for the polar derivative of a polynomial \(p(z) = c_nz^n +\sum_{j=\mu}^n c_{n-j}z^{n-j}\), \(1\leq\mu\leq n\), having all its zeros on \(|z| = k\), \(k\leq 1\), which generalizes the results due to Dewan and Mir, Dewan and Hans.

Intravitreal GD2‐Specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy for Refractory Retinoblastoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Effective treatments for advanced, treatment‐resistant retinoblastoma (RB) remain limited. GD2‐specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells show potent antitumor activity with minimal toxicity but have not previously been evaluated in RB.

Evolution of active and polar photospheric magnetic fields during the rise of Cycle 24 compared to previous cycles

open access: yes, 2012
The evolution of the photospheric magnetic field during the declining phase and minimum of Cycle 23 and the recent rise of Cycle 24 are compared with the behavior during previous cycles.

NRASQ61R Expression in Lymphatic Endothelial Cells Causes Enlarged Vessels, Hemorrhagic Chylous Effusions, and High Mortality in a Mouse Model of Kaposiform Lymphangiomatosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Kaposiform lymphangiomatosis (KLA) is an aggressive complex lymphatic anomaly. Patients exhibit malformed lymphatic vessels and often develop hemorrhagic effusions and elevated angiopoietin‐2 (Ang‐2) levels. A somatic NRAS p.Q61R (NRASQ61R) mutation has been associated with KLA.

Refinements of inequalities on extremal problems of polynomials

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
Let H(z) be a polynomial of degree n, and for any complex number α, let D α H(z) = nH(z) + (α − z)H′(z) denote the polar derivative of H(z) with respect to α.

Tetraoxanes as inhibitors of apicomplexan parasites Plasmodium falciparum and Toxoplasma gondii and anti-cancer molecules [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2015
New cyclohexylidene 1,2,4,5-tetraoxanes with polar guanidine and urea based groups were synthesized and evaluated for antimalarial activity against chloroquine resistant and susceptible Plasmodium falciparum strains.

Integral mean estimates for the polar derivative of a polynomial [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Let $ P(z) $ be a polynomial of degree $ n $ having all zeros in $|z|\leq k$ where $k\leq 1,$ then it was proved by Dewan \textit{et al} that for every real or complex number $\alpha$ with $|\alpha|\geq k$ and each $r\geq 0$ $$ n(|\alpha|-k)\left\{\int\
