Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Application of M¨obius coordinate transformation in evaluating Newton’s integral
We propose a numerical scheme which efficiently combines various existing methods of solving the Newton’s volume integral. It utilises the analytical solution of Newton’s integral for tesseroid in computing the near-zone contribution to gravitational ...

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Computing the Fréchet Derivative of the Polar Decomposition
We derive iterative methods for computing the Fréchet derivative of the map which sends a full-rank matrix $A$ to the factor $U$ in its polar decomposition $A=UH$, where $U$ has orthonormal columns and $H$ is Hermitian positive definite. The methods apply to square matrices as well as rectangular matrices having more rows than columns.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

On the polar derivative of lacunary type polynomials
Let $p(z)=a_nz^n+\sum_{l=\nu}^na_{n-l}z^{n-l}$, where $1\leq \nu \leq n$, be a polynomial of degree $n$ having all its zeros in $|z|\leq k\leq 1$. For polar derivative $D_{\alpha}p(z)$, it is known that for each $|\alpha|\leq 1$ on $|z|=1$, \begin{align*} |D_{\alpha}p(z)|\leq \frac{n}{1+k^{\nu}}\Big\{(|\alpha|+k^{\nu})\|p\|_{\infty}-\frac{1 ...

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

INTEGRAL ANALOGUE OF TURÁN-TYPE INEQUALITIES CONCERNING THE POLAR DERIVATIVE OF A POLYNOMIAL
If \(w(\zeta)\) is a polynomial of degree $n$ with all its zeros in \(|\zeta|\leq \Delta, \Delta\geq 1\) and any real \(\gamma\geq 1\), Aziz proved the integral inequality [1] $$ \left\lbrace\int_{0}^{2\pi}\left|1+\Delta^ne^{i\theta}\right|^{\gamma}d ...

Inequalities for the derivative and polar derivative of lacunary polynomials
Summary: In this paper, we study lacunary polynomials of degree \(n\) having \(s\)-fold zeros at the origin and the remaining zeros lying on or outside the boundary of a prescribed disk. This study in turns gives generalizations and improvements of some well-known results.
