Synthesis of PI Controller with a Simple Set-Point Filter for Unstable First-Order Time Delay Processes and Integral plus Time Delay Plant

open access: yesElektronika ir Elektrotechnika, 2018
The paper describes PI controllers tuning for unstable first order time delay processes and integral plus time delay plant. The suggested method for designing a PI controller is based on the pole assignment method.

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Robust State Feedback Control With D-Admissible Assurance for Descriptor Systems Subjected to Perturbed Derivative Matrix

open access: yesIEEE Access
This work mainly addresses the state feedback control with D-admissible assurance for descriptor systems subjected to perturbed derivative and systems’ matrices simultaneously. By the linear matrix inequality (LMI) and matrix algebra manipulation,

Algorithms for Robust Pole Assignment in Singular Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
The solution of the pole assignment problem by feedback in singular systems is parameterized and conditions are given which guarantee the regularity and maximal degree of the closed loop pencil.

A Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
Block Diagram of the Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller. ABSTRACT This article introduces a discrete‐time robust adaptive one‐sample‐ahead preview super‐twisting sliding mode controller. A stability analysis of the controller by Lyapunov criteria is developed to demonstrate its robustness in handling both ...

Time-Delayed Control for Automated Steering Wheel Tracking of Electric Power Steering Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
We present a time-delayed control (TDC) approach that applies it to the electric power steering (EPS) system for the first time. The TDC approach uses a one-sample delayed information of the system to cancel out uncertain and unknown dynamics, including ...

Sampled-Data and Harmonic Balance Analyses of Average Current-Mode Controlled Buck Converter

open access: yes, 2012
Dynamics and stability of average current-mode control of buck converters are analyzed by sampled-data and harmonic balance analyses. An exact sampled-data model is derived. A new continuous-time model "lifted" from the sampled-data model is also derived,

Characterization of Nitinol Produced by Laser Powder Bed Fusion for Mechanical Metamaterial Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Interval State Feedback Control for Uncertain Systems Through Regional Pole Assignment With Optimization

open access: yesIEEE Access
Aiming at the problems of interval expansion and mismatch of uncertainty description in the design of interval state feedback controller (ISFCr), this paper proposes a new design method of ISFCr using the regional pole assignment (RPA).
