Prediction of Poly(A) Sites by Poly(A) Read Mapping. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
RNA-seq reads containing part of the poly(A) tail of transcripts (denoted as poly(A) reads) provide the most direct evidence for the position of poly(A) sites in the genome.

Poly(A)-tail profiling reveals an embryonic switch in translational control

open access: yesNature, 2014
Poly(A) tails enhance the stability and translation of most eukaryotic messenger RNAs, but difficulties in globally measuring poly(A)-tail lengths have impeded greater understanding of poly(A)-tail function. Here we describe poly(A)-tail length profiling

Poly(Ethylene Glycol)-Poly(Lactic Acid) TLR7 Agonist as a Novel HBsAg Immune Response Stimulant

open access: yesFamily Medicine & Primary Care Review, 2023
Hepatitis B is caused by a hepatitis B virus infection, causing inflammation of the liver. The therapeutic approach used to help treat HBV infection has been based on re-establishing a functioning T cell response and limiting additional negative ...

Measuring the tail: Methods for poly(A) tail profiling

open access: yesWiley Interdisciplinary Reviews - RNA, 2022
The 3′‐end poly(A) tail is an important and potent feature of most mRNA molecules that affects mRNA fate and translation efficiency. Polyadenylation is a posttranscriptional process that occurs in the nucleus by canonical poly(A) polymerases (PAPs).

RNA stabilization by a poly(A) tail 3′-end binding pocket and other modes of poly(A)-RNA interaction

open access: yesScience, 2021
Poly(A) and RNA: More ways to interact One of the most conserved RNA modifications across organisms is the addition of a polyadenosine, or poly(A), tail to the 3′ end of RNA molecules.

Polyadenylated tail length variation pattern in ultra-rapid vitrified bovine oocytes [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary World, 2016
Aim: The current study aims at investigating the polyadenylated (poly[A]) tail length of morphologically high and low competent oocytes at different developmental stages.

Co-Administration of Injected and Oral Vaccine Candidates Elicits Improved Immune Responses over Either Route Alone

open access: yesVaccines, 2020
Infectious diseases continue to be a significant cause of morbidity and mortality, and although efficacious vaccines are available for many diseases, some parenteral vaccines elicit little or no mucosal antibodies which can be a significant problem since

Acoustical investigation of poly(dA).poly(dT), poly[d(A-T)].poly[d(A-T)], poly(A) . poly(U) and DNA hydration in dilute aqueous solutions [PDF]

open access: yesNucleic Acids Research, 1989
Apparent molar adiabatic compressibilities and apparent molar volumes of poly[d(A-T)].poly[d(A-T)], poly(dA).poly(dT), DNA and poly(A).poly(U) in aqueous solutions were determined at 1 degree C. The change of concentration increment of the ultrasonic velocity upon replacing counter ion Cs+ by the Mg2+ ion was also determined for these polymers.
