High‐Performance Recycling Biobased Photopolymers for 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By using biobased phenols like eugenol, novel biobased photopolymers containing dissociative phenol‐carbamate bonds are designed for 3D printing. Meanwhile, a “mixed‐monomer assisted recycling” strategy is proposed to recycle the materials. The resulting materials not only achieve high‐performance and excellent chemical recyclability simultaneously ...

Characterization and taste masking evaluation of microparticles with cetirizine dihydrochloride and methacrylate-based copolymer obtained by spray drying

open access: yesActa Pharmaceutica, 2017
Taste of a pharmaceutical formulation is an important parameter for the effectiveness of pharmacotherapy. Cetirizine dihydrochloride (CET) is a second-generation antihistamine that is commonly administered in allergy treatment.

Relationship between the mechanical properties of epoxy/PMMA-b-PnBA-b-PMMA block copolymer blends and their three-dimensional nanostructures

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2017
Nanostructures of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A epoxy/poly(methyl methacrylate)-b-poly(n-butyl acrylate)-b-poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA-b-PnBA-b-PMMA) triblock copolymer (BCP) blends were studied in relation to their mechanical properties.

Robust and Thermally Stable Silicone Aerogels with Hyperconnected Network via Kinetically Optimized Hyperbranched Silane Precursors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Reactivity‐Programmed Assembly: A kinetic‐control strategy is reported for constructing hyperconnected silicone aerogels with a robust “thick‐neck” architecture. By exploiting the reactivity disparity of precursors, flexible segments are uniformly embedded within a rigid skeleton.

Micellar dye shuttle between water and an ionic liquid [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The reversible transfer of poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline)-block-poly(2-nonyl-2-oxazoline) nanocarriers comprising encapsulated dyes is demonstrated between water and an ionic liquid. This dye transfer concept is shown to be applicable for loading and delivery

Scaling of Planar Sodium‐Nickel Chloride Battery Cells to 90 cm2 Active Area

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2025.
Large planar Na β′′ alumina electrolytes are prepared by tape‐casting and die‐pressing. These ceramic electrolytes are used to prepare planar sodium‐nickel chloride cells with 90 cm2 active area, providing a high capacity of 7 Ah. Successful cell cycling is demonstrated at 300 °C at rates up to C/4 (20 mA cm−2) for a cumulative capacity of 3.6 Ah cm−2.

The Utility of Nanocomposites in Fire Retardancy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Nanocomposites have been shown to significantly reduce the peak heat release rate, as measured by cone calorimetry, for many polymers but they typically have no effect on the oxygen index or the UL-94 classification. In this review, we will cover what is

N‐heterocyclic carbene‐based tetradentate Pt(II) phosphors for blue organic light‐emitting diodes: Molecular design, photophysics, and device performance

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
Structure‐oriented design of NHC‐based tetradentate Pt(II) complexes offers narrowband deep‐blue emission for OLEDs. This review highlights how steric shielding and electronic modulation regulate intermolecular interactions, excited‐state dynamics, and device performance, outlining design principles and outlines toward efficient and durable blue ...

Nanoscale Contact Mechanics between Two Grafted Polyelectrolyte Surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The adhesive and frictional behavior of end-grafted poly[2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate] (PDMAEMA) films (brushes) in contact with atomic force microscope tips from which PDMAEMA or poly(methacrylic acid) (PMAA) were grafted has been shown to be a ...
